Latest News

In November, each year, M.L.F.S. hold our Christmas show and sale of cattle and sheep.  At this event we donate our commission etc. to a chosen charity.  In recent years we have conducted a charity auction of a wide variety of items, which have been donated by local businesses and individuals.

In 2016, we raised over £33,000 for N.I. Air Ambulance.

This year’s chosen charity is “Children’s Heartbeat Trust” which is an organisation that supports children in Northern Ireland who have serious heart problems.

A new centre has been built in Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast specifically for children with heart problems.  “Children’s Heartbeat Trust” is closely involved in this centre.

We have undertaken to provide a special “Heart Scanner” at this new centre, which will be used exclusively by the centre.  The cost of the new scanner is approximately £50,000.

This is a very ambitious figure and we really need the support of the local businesses to achieve our target.

We are delighted that Ballymena Livestock Mart is holding a similar event in support of Children’s Heartbeat Trust”.

If you would like to support this event please contact me and I will be happy to discuss the type of items that are popular at our auction.

The Show and Sale is on Thursday 23rd November at 7 p.m.

We would appreciate a response before 9th November 2017.
